Austin Scott (born 1969 in Augusta, GA) has represented Georgia's 8th congressional district since 2011. He holds a B.B.A. in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia and operated an insurance brokerage for nearly two decades.
He served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1997 to 2010 before winning his congressional seat. Scott sits on the Armed Services, Intelligence, and Agriculture committees, and also serves on the House Rules Committee. He is in his eighth term.
