Ronald Harold Johnson (born April 8, 1955 in Mankato, MN) has served as Wisconsin's senior senator since 2011. He earned a B.S. in accounting from the University of Minnesota and moved to Oshkosh, WI, where he co-founded and ran Pacur, a plastics manufacturing company, for over 30 years.
Johnson entered politics in 2010 to oppose the Affordable Care Act, running with Tea Party support and no prior elected experience. He sold most of his liquid assets upon election but retained a 5% Pacur stake until 2020. He serves on multiple committees including Budget, Commerce, and Foreign Relations.
